They’re loud, they’re boisterous, they’re all up in each other’s business, and they have arguably the coolest nest in Brooklyn. The Green monk parakeets can be found in various spots throughout the borough, but they’re most iconic at Green-wood Cemetery, where they’ve built intricate nests in the gothic spires of the main entrance. These feisty birds will look dapper on a vest, jean jacket, coat, backpack or tote bag. They’re weren’t made to blend in.
